Social Services

Overview

The Wilbraham Council on Aging (Senior Center) offers an array of social services for seniors AND their families. Barbara Harrnington, our Social Services Coordinator, is available to meet with anyone who may need assistance with information, referral and program applications for: 

  • SNAP (food stamps) - Am I eligible?
  • LIHEAP (fuel assistance) - Am I eligible?
  • housing assistance 
  • long-term + in-home care
  • medical + other insurance issues

These Social Services are available to ALL residents of Wilbraham. Call the Senior Center for an appointment at (413) 596-8379.

Programs Available


SNAP + Fuel Assistance
Low-income households may be eligible for supplemental support in the form of food (SNAP) and/or fuel (LIHEAP) assistance. 

Memory Cafe
We offer monthly support groups for caregivers, as well as those living with dementia. Our Memory Cafe is a welcoming space to have fun together, speak with others who understand what you're going through, and try something new!

Meal Programs
The Senior Center offers weekly lunches for all residents 55+, a brown bag program, and Meals on Wheels for homebound seniors. Learn More >

Knox Box
A secure lockbox mounted to your entryway, giving first responders easy, immediate access to help in a medical emergency.
