[ARCHIVED] R.A.D. Self-Defense Class for Women


The Wilbraham Police Department will be holding a R.A.D. class for women ages 13 and above. The class runs for five days, January 2, 7, 9, 14 and 16 and will be held at the United Church in Wilbraham from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The R.A.D. system is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. This women-only course begins with Awareness, Prevention, Risk Reduction and Risk Avoidance, while progressing onto basics of hands-on defense training. Mothers and daughters are welcome, high school and college girls are also encouraged to sign up. To register for this course or if you have questions, contact the Wilbraham Police Department at (413) 596-3837, Sgt. Paradis, Officers Nason or Cygan. Class size is limited to 20 women. There is a $20.00 admission fee which will be collected on the first day.
