[ARCHIVED] Community Dining for Older Adults Serves Good Food and Company

Greater Springfield Senior Services invites people 60 years of age and older to enjoy a good meal and good company at Senior Community Dining sites in Springfield, Brimfield, Hampden, Holland, Palmer and Wilbraham. November menu offerings include Pot Roast, Baked Chicken, Salmon Filet and Shepherd’s Pie. For a complete menu and listing of sites, go to www.gsssi.org or call (413) 781-2135.

In addition to its “traditional meals” at its Senior Community Dining sites, kosher meals are served at the Jewish Community Center in Springfield, and Latino meals are available at the Riverview Senior Center in Springfield. All diners have the option of reserving a dietetic dessert or the meal in pureed form.

Reservations are required by 10:00 am on the day prior to the meal by calling the Greater Springfield Senior Services Nutrition department at (413) 781-2135. A voluntary and confidential suggested donation is $1.75 per meal is suggested.
