PUBLIC HEARING PETITION FOR POLE AND WIRE LOCATIONS LEEMOND STREET #30511070 


You are hereby notified that the Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing at the Town Office Building,

Selectmen’s Meeting Room, 240 Springfield Street, Wilbraham, MA 01095 on Monday, February 7, 2022,

at 7:20 pm regarding the Petition for Pole and Wire Locations – Leemond Street (#30511070) presented by

Massachusetts Electric Company d/b/a NATIONAL GRID, who is the Petitioner requesting permission to

locate poles, wires, and fixtures, including the necessary sustaining and protecting fixtures, along and across the

following public way:

Leemond Street, Wilbraham, Massachusetts

Leemond Street: NATIONAL GRID is proposing to install (1) SO pole on Leemond St. beginning at a point

approximately 455 feet north of the centerline of the intersection of Decorie Dr. Location approximately as

shown on plan on file.


After due notice and hearing as provided by law, NATIONAL GRID is seeking to be granted a location for and

permission to erect and maintain poles and wires, together with such sustaining and protecting fixtures as it may

find necessary, said poles to be erected substantially in accordance with the plan filed herewith marked –

Leemond St. - Wilbraham, MA, #30511070 dated December 31, 2021. The plan can be viewed by contacting

the Selectmen’s Office.


The Petitioner is also asking for permission to lay and maintain underground laterals, cables and wires in the

above or intersecting public ways for the purpose of making connections with such poles and buildings as said

petitioner may desire for distributing purposes.


The Petitioner agrees to reserve space for one cross-arm at a suitable point on each of said poles for the fire,

police, telephone, and telegraph signal wires belonging to the municipality and used by it exclusively for

municipal purposes.
