INVITATION TO BID

TOWN OF WILBRAHAM


Road Resurfacing and Related Work 2025 


The Select Board will receive sealed bids for the contract entitled "ROAD RESURFACING AND RELATED WORK 2025" until 3:00 PM on Tuesday April 29, 2025 at the Engineering Department, Town Office Building, 240 Springfield Street, Wilbraham, MA 01095 where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly and legibly entitled "ROAD RESURFACING AND RELATED WORK 2025". Bid will be available for pick up on Thursday April 10, 2025, or via email at DPW@wilbraham-ma.gov. 

Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the bid price. The bid deposit must be in the form of a Bid Bond, a Certified Check, or a Treasurer's or Cashier's Check issued by a responsible Bank or Trust Company having office in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Bid Deposit shall be made payable to the Town of Wilbraham. 

Prevailing State Minimum Wage Rates must be complied with as per MGL Ch 149 section 26-27d. These wage rates are contained within the contract documents. Bidders who bid on the project must provide their prequalification certificate of approval from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation along with their bid proposal. 

Bidders must provide with their bids the a signed "Contractors Certification" found in the Bid Proposal, which certifies the goals of women and minority percentage for personnel working on the project, Labor Harmony and OSHA training certification and paperwork, Non-Collusion and Non-Discrimination. 

Contract documents are available at the Engineering Department, Town Office Building, 240 Springfield Street, Wilbraham, MA 01095 or email, Tonya Capparello DPW@wilbraham-ma.gov. The estimated cost for the Road Resurfacing and Related Work 2025 is $1,200,000. 

The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, to advertise for new proposals, as deemed in the interest of the Town.
