On April 3 at 8:29 a.m. Detective Michael Cygan assisted by Chicopee PD located a suspect in Chicopee with two warrants (larceny charges) for his arrest. Nathan Binette 24, of Ludlow was arrested without incident.
On April 4 at 1:03 p.m. Officer Harold Swift observed a black Mercury driving erratically on Stony Hill Road by CVS. The vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign on Dumaine St. Officer Swift was able to speak with the operator who parked in the Peter Harris parking lot. The operator showed signs of impairment. Donna Kogut 62, of Springfield was arrested by Swift for OUI Liquor and Negligent Operation. She was also charged with failing to stop for the stop sign and possessing an open container of alcohol.
On April 6 at 2:11 a.m. Officer Brent Noyes was traveling on Stony Hill Road and observed a gray Volkswagon with no inspection sticker. The vehicle was stopped and the operator showed signs of impairment. Field sobriety tests were done and the operator failed. Thomas Adams 23, of Hampden was arrested for OUI Liquor and Negligent Operation. He was also issued a citation for having no current inspection sticker.
On April 8 at 2:28 p.m. Big Y called the Wilbraham Police Department to assist with a shoplifter. Officer Harold Swift was assigned and placed Corrina Chlebus 23, of Monson under arrest for the Shoplifting. It was later learned she also had a warrant for her arrest and was arrested for same.
On April 9 at 11:20 a.m. a Donald Roberts Jr. 28, of Springfield came into the Wilbraham Police Department. He had issues with a previous ticket he was given. A record check revealed that unpaid ticket was now a warrant and he was placed under arrest by Captain Timothy Kane with assistance from Sgt. Daniel Carr.
