On October 3 at 3:30 p.m. Officer Joseph Brewer received information about a suspect having a warrant for his arrest. Carlos Dias 40, of Ludlow was arrested without incident.
On October 4 at 12:27 p.m. Carlos Dias escaped from the Wing Hospital in Palmer while in police custody. Detective Jeffrey Rudinski and Michael Cygan were able to locate him in Springfield on October 5 at 2:00 p.m. where he was rearrested for the warrant as well as escaping from police custody.
On October 5 at 7:32 p.m. Officer Thomas Motyka placed a 17 year old juvenile under arrest at the Commons, 269 Stony Hill Road, for Violation of a Restraining Order.
On October 7 at 1:05 a.m. Officer Sean Casella observed a speeding motor vehicle that also had an expired inspection sticker. The vehicle was stopped on Boston Road. The operator, Jessica Barlow 21, of Ludlow, was showing signs of alcohol intoxication and was subsequently arrested for OUI Alcohol and Negligent Operation.
On October 7 at 4:47 a.m. Officers Alderico Florindo and Christopher Arventos responded to a motor vehicle crash where an SUV had flipped over on its roof on Boston Road. After interviewing witnesses and the operator, Scott Belanger 28, of Belchertown was charged with Negligent Operation.
On October 7, Officer Harold Swift received information that James Griffin 47, of Chelsea violated a Harassment order and will be charged accordingly.
