Western Massachusetts Regional Homeland Security Advisory Council

The Western Mass READY (Rapid Emergency Action Depends on YOU) campaign provides residents of the four western counties information on how to prepare for and survive an emergency. This campaign was developed in cooperation with emergency management professionals. The material in the toolkit is based on the needs and realities of emergency preparation here in Western Massachusetts.

The focus of the campaign is to encourage residents to:

• Create an emergency plan for their family
• Make two separate emergency kits
• Stay informed before, during and after an emergency
• Become involved in their community before an emergency
• National Weather Service Forecast Office
• National Grid
